It started with an email from a friend one sunny afternoon.  We found each other on Etsy years ago and became fast business friends and collaborators.  We both have been creative souls for decades so we know a lot of different styles of crafts.

Hand sewing has been around for thousands of years.  But, a new term was given to the craft over in the U.K.  a few years back.  And, it has just kept growing in popularity ever since by sewing enthusiasts around the world.

If you type in "Slow Stitching" or "Slow Stitch Kits" in Google or any s

earch engine like YouTube or even on Etsy Marketplace you will find a wide variety of talent and products to choose from.

So, I jumped in the arena and am loving the outcome it has brought to my life.  Using it for Self-care has been a life-saver to me in more ways than one.  You see 20 years ago I was diagnosed with Lyme disease or dis-ease as I like to call it.  During that time of my life I had become homebound and needed a creative outlet to keep my sanity.

So, I started selling odds and ends from around my house online and discovered the Etsy Marketplace and opened my first Etsy shop in 2008, Markets of Sunshine, selling handmade items.  In 2010 my husband and I opened a second shop, Pioneer Fundraiser, to sell vintage housewares and collectibles.

I was hooked!  I'll have new blog posts telling you the stories behind each of my adventures in Marketing my shop and where it took me and what I discovered along the way.

One of the places it took me was YouTube and I love it!  But, that's another story to be continued....
